BIOGRAPHY
Why a tech power player? For serving as a dedicated critic of cryptocurrency and advocating for a more equitable future for the web.
Molly White is one of the most respected voices on the shortcomings of cryptocurrency and “Web3,” a vision of a decentralized web based on blockchain technology, online electronic databases that are the basis of most cryptocurrencies. A software engineer by trade, White runs Web3 is Going Just Great, a digestible website to inform non-experts about the scams, dangers and pitfalls of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. To wit: White chronicled some of cryptocurrency exchange FTX’s questionable business moves months before it went bankrupt and its founder was arrested. White is researching cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the future of the web as a member of Harvard University’s Library Innovation Lab. She is also an affiliate of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. White earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Northeastern University.
