In recent weeks, decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols have seen a notable increase, with total value locked (TVL) increasing by $11.89 billion.
The growth brought the TVL to $94.974 billion today, May 18, as reported by defillama.com. However, one DeFi protocol, Perfectswap, did not work as expected. The protocol experienced a complete decline, with a 100% reduction in its TVL.

Lido Finance, a DeFi protocol from TVL, currently holds around $29.21 billion. The DeFi protocol increased by 1.49%.
Another protocol, Eigenlayer, brought in $15.40 billion today. Besides these two major DeFi protocols, other protocols have also seen their TVL increase. Those of MakerDAO increased by 7.95%, those of Justlend by 4.95% and those of Aave by 9.22%.
Other smaller protocols also showed positive records, with Zircuit staking 74.64%, Etherfi 28.92%, and Jito 31.86%. However, this positive assessment from TVL is seen as a boost in confidence within the DeFi sector, thus suggesting a recovery in the market.
