Fantasy Top, a fantasy football game Ethereum The NFT game that turns Crypto Twitter influencers into trading cards has I saw a surge of attention since its launch just a week ago layer 2 network. In fact, it generates so much money in fees and revenue that it is now included in the same conversations that surround many leading blockchain networks.

Over the past week, Fantasy Top has been the fifth most profitable crypto protocol, according to on-chain data tracked by ChallengeLlama, with $9.31 million in ETH. He earned by selling NFT card packs and take a share of transactions through its secondary market.

Only Bitcoin ($22.1M), Ethereum ($21.6M), Liquid Staking Protocol Pool ($18.2 million) and decentralized exchange Uniswap ($15.9 million) generated more fee revenue during this period. And in the last 24 hours, Fantasy Top comes in seventh place with around $925,000 in revenue, with the Tron And Solana networks rising above for the daily count.

Fantasy Top has quickly become a sensation in the crypto industry, especially on Crypto Twitter, as it is based and built around the social media sphere. The game’s 120 unique “heroes”, which have been transformed into tradable NFTs on the layer 2 Ethereum network Blast, are all based on notable traders, investors, analysts and content creators in the industry.

As in fantasy sports games, and especially NFT-based versions like football games So rare—Fantasy Top players must create a list of their heroes, then they will earn points based on the actual Twitter engagement (aka X) of the influencers in question.

Many of the heroes of the game in question also played the game themselves, attracting attention and spending. And there’s good reason for them to do so: they receive a cut of all pack sales and secondary market trading fees.

Monday evening, the match paid $1.25 million in Ethereum (ETH) distributed among the heroes, as well as potentially millions of dollars worth of Blast Gold – points towards the next BLAST token airdrop. And it was less than a week of play since the mainnet launch. Of course, this amount would come from the aforementioned total revenue.

However, the rollout of Fantasy Top has not been without challenges. On Wednesday, the game’s creators said they had ended prematurely the first in-game “main competition” that began on Monday because heroes’ engagement totals in social media content were manipulated and increased, apparently through automated bots.

Fantasy Top says it will share the results of the competition soon, as well as details on how it plans to resolve botting issues in the future.
