Toronto Tech Week (TTW) 2024 is underway, offering a wide range of events celebrating the city’s innovators, creators and tech experts.

THE five days of extravaganza kicked off on Monday with the TTW Park Hang at Trinity Bellwoods Park, followed by the grand opening event, Rebirth, which honored Toronto’s rebirth, potential and its people.

The action-packed agenda includes Framer’s inaugural in-person meeting in Toronto, hosted by Worksimply at DMZ Sandbox starting at 6 p.m. This event is ideal for people who want to delve deeper into the world of no-code tools.

Additionally, attendees will be able to glean insights from three esteemed Toronto-based design studio founders—Taha Hossain of Daybreak Studio, Ronald Tau of Meat Studio, and Jared of Renga—as they share the triumphs and tribulations of launching an agency.

For night owls and AI and cryptocurrency enthusiasts, “Global Supercomputer: The Future of AI & Crypto” is a must-see event, starting at 8pm and lasting until 2am.

Between May 14 and 16, TTW will present a special screening of the documentary “Join or Die” and offer viewers $12 tickets for access to both in-person screenings and digital viewings.

A total of seven events are scheduled for May 15, including “Off The Record 007” featuring Shakepay CEO Jean Amiouny and bitcoin podcast host Kevin Rooke, with an entry fee of $5.35. Additionally, “Design Systems Unpacked: Exploring the DNA of Design” is already sold out, while “Designing for Safety: Turning Caution Into Creativity” brings together industry experts for a discussion on how to shape safe experiences at scale.

The founders of TTW will also host a happy hour networking event from 7pm to 10pm on May 15th.

On May 16, Walk n’ Talk invites participants to join a two-hour excursion alongside founders and AI enthusiasts, starting at 4:00 pm ET. Three engaging events follow: “A Night of Sustainability, Fashion & Technology,” “Grassroots Community Gathering,” and “Prototyping with Artificial Intelligence (with Meta),” culminating in the “Don’t Die TO Fireside Chat & Social “Mixer.”

To conclude the TTW, attendees can improve their app design skills at the Soto Skill Swap and explore virtual environments in the “Shaping Virtual Worlds and the Tools That Build Them (ft. Roblox)” session. The final networking event includes “Charmed: A Night for Women in Tech” and “The ANTI-WORK Party.”
