TON Foundation Announces Launch of Trustless Bitcoin Bridge for DeFi
July 17: TON BTC Teleportationa trustless bridge facilitating secure transfers of bitcoin (BTC) to and from The Open Network (TON) blockchain, has been launched. According to a message from The TON Foundation Team: “This development allows BTC holders to securely engage in DeFi on TON and participate in decentralized exchanges (DEX), lending platforms, and other applications. TON’s BTC teleportation process is completely trustless and transparent, operating without a centralized issuer. Every BTC on TON is 100% backed by real BTC, pegged to the teleportation process, ensuring safe and reliable transactions.” (TONNE)
